Fingerstyle Guitar — Week 1 — Day 5 (and 6, 7)
2026-07-17 pe
Day 5 — First mini-piece (Am – Dm – E7 – Am)
Builds on: Days 1–4 (arpeggio, tone, one chord change, pattern flexibility) + Am from Day 1; new shapes Dm and E7.
Good for: stitching the week’s skills into a real 4-bar phrase — your first repertoire, and your first sequence of several changes in a row.

Transitions:
- Am → Dm: almost everything moves down/over one string — three fingers, the biggest move yet. Walk it slowly. L-2 stays put.
- Dm → E7: collapse to one finger (L-1 to S-3, fret 1); thumb jumps S-4 → S-6.
- E7 → Am: the classic cadence — L-1 slides S-3 → S-2 (fret 1 stays), add L-2.
- Warmup — 2 min
- Learn the moves (3 min): walk Am – Dm – E7 – Am slowly, no rhythm — just find the shapes
- Add the pattern (3 min): arpeggiate each chord, one bar each, slow
- Play it through (3 min): the full 4-bar loop, clean and even, start to finish
- Cooldown (3 min): play it once more, listen
Days 6–7 — Flex (Weekend)
Builds on: whatever you practiced this week.
Good for: consolidation and recovery; targeting your weakest day so no link in the chain stays weak. Keeps the 15-min habit sustainable.
- Rest or repeat your weakest day or bridge to Week 2: rest-stroke i-m alternation walking open S-1 → S-2 → S-3 and back, slow and even
